For more than four decades, Masao has led the company with unwavering authority. Now, as retirement approaches, tensions rise and the future of the family legacy hangs in the balance. Filmmaker Ben Bertucci captures an intimate, fly-on-the-wall portrait of this famously private family and their secretive craft. The film reveals never-before-seen footage of meticulous, hands-on restoration techniques passed down from Shinichi Naito, a self-taught mechanical genius who once worked on Japanese bomber planes during WWII.

Ben Bertucci is an independent filmmaker in the truest sense. Self-taught and self-guided, he has
developed his own unique style, using unobtrusive methods to bring out the authentic stories of
his subjects. For several years he has focused on the many human interest stories that permeate
the international world of classic cars. What drives his work is the inspiration gleaned from
ordinary people doing extraordinary things with integrity and passion. One of One marks Ben’s
first foray into feature film making.
